Rodarte’s Starry Eyed Surprise

Sure, the look appeared in the designer’s (amazing) spring/summer 2012 collection, but I’m planning on rocking it through fall. I especially love the smudged shadow under the the eyes and those nails sparkle and shine -but the dark color makes them totally work appropriate. 

Here’s what Nars makeup artist James Kaliardos and manicurist Deborah Lippmann used to create this magical look:

Eyes:

• Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Dark Rite
• Nars Night Series Eye Shadow in Night Flight 
• Nars Shimmer Eye Shadow in Tropic on top
• Lashes coated with black mascara

Nails:

• Lady Sings the Blues nail lacquer

Elle Fanning Stuns in Rodarte

Oh, Elle Fanning, the fashion world can’t seem to get enough of you —and neither can we! Dakota’s lil sis stuns in head to toe Rodarte on the pages of the latest A Magazine. 

Fashionista reports that the 70s vibe was inspired by Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s childhood in Cali. This shoot makes us long for days of sun, surf, and silky summer clothes!

Taylor Swift Stuns in Rodarte

Though she’s lost her signature curls, Taylor Swift looks stunning on the cover of February’s Vogue. Donning Rodarte’s S/S 2012 Purple and Marigold Hand Knit Basket Stitch Sweater, she exudes a part ladylike, part bohemian-chic air.

Above, Swift exchanges her usual sequins and sparkles for Rodarte’s Floral-Embroidered Wool Prairie Coat (fall 2011) and Marbled Wool Dress (fall 2009).

The glamfest continues through the spread, as Tay strikes pose after pose in Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s gorgeous creations. You go, gals!

Rodarte Footwear? Yes, Please!

If I wasn’t already obsessed with the Mulleavy sisters’ breathtaking creations, I will soon have an entire line of Rodarte shoes to lust after. 

According to Racked, we can expect the designer duo to launch their first Australian landscape-inspired footwear collection this fall. They told Marie Claire:

“We created heels made of molded resin filled with layers of colored sand. We wanted to reference the amazing layers of earth in the landscape.”
