Nails By Tom Ford? Only if You’ll Pay $30 a Bottle

I’m already falling for Tom’s bright orange shades -they simply scream fall! But for $30 per bottle, I think I’ll have to scour the shelves at my local drugstore for a more affordable option. Sad.

Pretty in Polish: Betsey Johnson for OPI is Coming Soon!

Whether it’s a festive party frock or a totally decked out tote, many of us own a little piece of Betsey. And next month, our nails can be just as fab as our wardrobes!

Consisting of seven polishes, the Betsey Johnson for OPI collection will be sold exclusively at Sephora and on From left to right, the names are: Alley Cat, Cartwheels on the Catwalk, XOX Betsey, It’s My Pink, Forever Wild, Sparkling Personality, and Pushing Your Luck.

But our fave by far is the scented It’s My Pink. A notice-me polish that looks good and smells great? Yes, please! Each full-sized polish will retail for $9.50, but you can grab a set of six minis for $24.50. The line will also feature nail tips (think skull and lip designs) for $12 each.

March can’t come soon enough!

Nicole Miller’s Models Have Covet Worthy Manis: MB Fashion Week F/W 2012

Nicole Miller's Fall 2012 runway show was flirty and feminine with a bit of edge thrown into the mix. And it was, in part, due to the models' standout manis.

If you’re looking to channel Nightmare Before Christmas meets a ’70s house party, check out these haute fingers.

Crave the look? Start off with a bright yellow polish. Once it dries, make your swirls with a blue nail art pen. Top it off with a heavy dose of patience and a steady hand.

Trendy gals everywhere will wonder if you’ve walked the Nicole Miller runways!

Saturday Obsession: St. Patrick’s Day Nail Art

Though I’m not even a little bit Irish, it’s hard not to covet all the gorgeous St. Patty’s Day nail art floating around Pinterest. With that said, if you’re scrambling to put together something festive without being tacky (put the beads and shamrock tee away!), check out these greens and start painting.

The Latest in Designer Nails: Thakoon for Nars

Leave it to Thakoon Panichgul to whip up a glorious spring collection for Nars Cosmetics. The six-piece Thakoon for Nars collab features vibrant, notice-me hues taken straight from the spring runways.

"The prints in that collection were inspired by the rich color palette of India — the spices, the holy festivals,” Panichgul said, according to a piece on the New York Times.

The Times reports that you can pick up a bottle for $18 on May 1, 2012. Excited doesn’t even begin to cover it!

The Name Game: Customize Your Polish with Pretty Please

Yesterday afternoon, I practically freaked out at my desk over these name-able polishes. I even sent the link to one of my guy friends (who doesn’t use nail polish, by the way).

With 18 shades to choose from, Pretty Please polishes are the ideal stocking stuffers, birthday gifts, or just-because treats. With up to 24 characters to get your message out, let your wit run wild. And at $10 a pop, I’d choose one of these hues over Sephora’s offerings any day.

Nail Polish Fiends, Rejoice! China Glaze’s App Can Find Shades to Match Anything

Have you ever been a bit jealous of your BFF’s gorgeous green irises, your coworker’s ah-may-zing crimson trench coat, or your kitten’s burnt orange fur (cat lady solidarity!)? Yeah, so have we. But instead of colored contacts or a shopping spree, you’ll find us painting our nails with the hues we’ve been obsessing over. And we have China Glaze’s cool new app to thank for that!

Free and available to iPhone and iPad users, the app is ridiculously easy to use. Simply download it, point and shoot a photo, and touch a spot on the image to check out your lacquer options. Fall in love with a shade? See how it would look with your skin tone and order the color in minutes with a few taps of your iPhone.

And with that, China Glaze’s app earns its place on our list of biggest time sucks ever, right after Facebook. Our nails, however, have never been happier.

This piece originally appeared on BettyConfidential.

Break Out the Red, White, and Blue With Fourth of July Nail Art

If you’re looking for a healthy dose of nailspiration to celebrate July 4th (which is next week, ladies!), Pinterest is a great place to start your search.

Here are five photos of nail art to drool over before you hit the online pinboard everyone and her mother is addicted to. Indulging feels great sometimes, especially when it’s fat free. xoxo
