The UO Lunch Break Findings

I headed over to the Urban Outfitters near Union Square during my lunch break, and I have to say, the sales are much, much better online.

So, if you’re planning on taking a trip to your local UO, you might just be a little disappointed. However, I did manage to find the perfect tribal print top -a major score for me since I’m so picky about my prints (when I say ‘tribal print’, I don’t mean I actually want to join a tribe). 

That’s a shot of me trying on my latest purchase. I was so excited about it, I just had to show you all via a Myspace-esque shot. Plus, the airy fabric will keep me (relatively) cool during my stay in sunny Florida next week.

French designer Jours Après Lunes has launched a “loungerie” (lingerie + loungewear) line for girls ages 3 months and up, causing a complete ruckus in the blogosphere. You’ll know what I mean once you take a peek at the comments section of Fashionista. While some of the designs appear harmless –looking much like what you’d see on a little girl at the beach –the provocative poses and layers of makeup on these little girls is nothing short of horrifying! I am so excited! In just one short month, Alexa Chung’s second collection for Madewell will hit stores.

I, for one, know that my lunch break on September 22nd will be spent falling head over heels for this designer’s sure to be gorgeous new pieces.

Elle magazine reported that Chung was inspired by “girls in bands who live their looks.”
