Sugar Rush: Check Out This Alexander McQueen-Inspired Gummy Bear Gown

If you’re wondering why your local drugstore is wiped clean of those tasty little gummy bear treats, this dress is your answer. Crafted from 50,000 beary chewy morsels, The Gloss reports that it weighs 220 lbs and takes three people to move.

The hefty piece was designed to celebrate the launch of TWELV Magazine and was inspired by an equally delicious (yet totally inedible) Alexander McQueen gown.

Does anyone else have a gummy bear craving right about now?

Saturday Obsession: The Met x Punk

Fashion obsessed Manhattanites have spent chunks of their weekends waiting in line for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty” and “Schiaparelli and Prada: Impossible Conversations”.

And we’ve just caught word that the next round is slated to launch next spring. The Rolling Stone's Colleen Nika reports

PUNK: Chaos to Couture,” set to open during May 2013’s Met Ball, has the potential to mark the most dynamic examination of the musical and subcultural movement’s style impact to date. The exhibition will attempt to capture the combustible energy of the genre by juxtaposing couture’s “made-to-measure” ethos and punk’s staunchly D.I.Y. mentality, with “anti-establishment” materials and techniques presented as a rebellious art form that equally complicates and complements high fashion.

Wondering who’s on the exhibit’s guest list? Expect groundbreaking designers likeVivienne Westwood, Malcolm Mclaren, Helmut Lang, Alexander Wang, Alexander McQueen, and more to be celebrated.

Unsurprisingly, none other than Rooney Mara, a.k.a. The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo's badass Lisbeth Salander, will serve as co-chair of the Met Ball.

We’re breaking out our old combat boots for this one!

Buzzworthy: Alexander McQueen’s S/S 2013 Collection is the Bee’s Knees

Sarah Burton’s Alexander McQueen collection has the press buzzing right now —and we can see why. Sure, this line isn’t exactly what we’d call practical, but can’t you just imagine Lady Gaga rocking these lucite kicks?

Standout trends included peplum, sky-high platforms, florals, tortoise shell bustiers, headpieces, and erm…netting.

This might sound strange, but the s/s ‘13 line reminded me of a gal named Chuck on a little show called Pushing Daisies.

Tell us: Is this collection honey-sweet or just plain strange?
